St. Baldrick's Fundraiser with Mrs. Meridian, Mrs. Boise & Mrs. Central Valley

Today, Mrs. Central Valley Melinda, Mrs. Boise Sondra and I volunteered at St. Baldrick's Fundraiser held at the Knitting Factory Concerthouse in Boise. Volunteers shaved their heads in solidarity with kids fighting cancer and family and friends gave generously. Our local goal was to raise $50,000. As of the start of the event today, St. Baldrick's had already exceeded that goal and had raised over $62,000. St. Baldrick's funds are granted to some of the most brilliant childhood cancer research experts in the world to find cures and improve the quality of life for patients and survivors. The Foundation funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Today, I cheered on my fellow brother firefighters from Star Fire as they shaved their heads in support of these brave children. As you can see from some of the pics, they allowed me to do some of the shaving, which was a BLAST for all of us! This was such a rouch and wonderful experience. Hugs, Erika Mrs. Meridian

Idaho Special Olympics Winter Games & Mrs. Capital City

Here are a few pictures from The Idaho Special Olympics Winter Olympics in McCall today. They aren't very cute, BUT it was FREEZING outside. It was a blast. After doing the Penguin Plunge I decided to get on board with everyone and continue working with the athletes, so there should be many more things to do.

Mrs. Eastern Idaho ~ Visits Classroom

I had the opportunity to visit my sons classroom today. We talked about the pageant and I brought a few items from my wardrobe. The girls loved the heels and the earrings! Then I pulled out my magic " Mary Poppins" bag and the kids took out different items that related to singing and we had a mini voice lesson:) It was very fun! I made quite a few new little friends today!

March of Dimes ~ Mrs. Middleton & Mrs. Nampa

Hello!

Rachel(Mrs. Nampa) and I had the opportunity to spend some time with the March of Dimes this evening. In this picture: Michelle(red sweater) who is with the March of Dimes and is coordinating the March for Babies walk for Canyon County which will be held on May 1st. My friend Whitley(in the gray sweatshirt)she was born 4 months premature. The other 2 ladies are representatives from Kmart, they are one of the biggest sponsors for the March of Dimes, and of course my daughter Abby who is one of my 3 reasons that the March of Dimes means so much to me.

We had the opportunity to share personal stories, talk about the walk and to learn more about the March of Dimes and their fight to save babies and help moms to have healthy pregnancies.

Thanks,
Tammy

Boise Rescue Mission & Fuddrucker's

Today Mrs. Meridian and Mrs. Boise helped out the Boise Rescue Mission by eating at Fuddruckers! The Rescue Mission is hoping to raise $20,000 from all locations in the Treasure Valley by feeding the patrons for free and asking for donations instead of paying for a meal. Since 1958, the Boise Rescue Mission has been serving the Treasure Valley by meeting the spiritual, physical and psychological needs of people who are homeless or in need who live in our community and those who pass through on a daily basis. It was great to go have a meal with the people of our community and help raise money for a great cause.
Thank you Sondra and Erika for the Pictures
