Today was the first day of the 2010 Mrs. Idaho America Pageant. Check in for the contestants started at 1:00 at 1:45 we had everyone try on their swimsuits so there we could address any possible wardrobe malfunctions early on. Then the ladies released the opening number until 5:00. These ladies can dance, WOW! From there we took pictures product from some of our many generous state sponsors in our COOL Mrs. Idaho America t-shirts that Susan Marler designed. From there we were all off to Johnny Carino's for the queens dinner YUM! We enjoyed great food and conversation. Then each lady was assigned a secret sister and gave a gift to her secret sister. The night was full of laughs and heart felt tears. In short the day was VERY uplifting and fun for all. I think everyone including our reigning Mrs. Idaho America Jamie Hilton, 2010 Contestants and staff are going to sleep good tonight as we have a full day of fun and excitement tomorrow.

Mrs. Nampa and Mrs. Central Valley - Giving thru Community Service

I had a great experience speaking to the Diamond Bandits softball team about Skin Cancer. It brought back so many memories of my youth. Growing up softball was my world, and I wish someone would have talked to me about protecting my skin from the sun. With experience comes learning, so now I have decided to focus my efforts on speaking to girls softball teams about Skin Cancer Awareness.

Mrs. Central Valley and I (Mrs. Nampa) took our kids to visit the residents at Grace Assisted Living in Nampa. We met some amazing women and had fun listening to their stories. The kids were shy at first, but quickly warmed up at the mention of food!! It was neat to see how much happiness a child can bring into someone's life.

thank you Rachel Mrs. Nampa for sending these pictures

Mrs. Eastern Idaho sings National Anthem at Dodge National Rodeo Finals

I got to sing the National Anthem at the Dodge National Rodeo Finals Friday night, it was awesome! The ISU bengal dancers danced to a cute song from the Hannah Montana Movie, if any of you have seen it it is her little line dance song. Many of the State Miss Rodeo Queens were there including Mrs Rodeo America. We had a good time!
